To make Dry Red velvet cake crumbs you will need just 1 ingredient. Red Velvet Cake! now how simple is that.
Before I found this technique, all we did at the Dainty Affairs Bakery was to crumble left over Red Velvet cake and used it to garnish finished Red velvet desserts and cup cakes and they looked so gorgeous but I was frustrated with the fact that it would look clumpy and wet.
After doing a bit of research and practice. We found this amazingly simple technique and I am happy to share it with you today.
Here are the steps.
Step 1 : Crumble and spread out left-over Red velvet cake unto a parchment paper. Place on a baking tray.
Step 2: Put this into an oven. Temperature 350oF for 15mins.
Step 3: Bring the baked Red velvet Cake crumbs out of Oven and allow to cool. It should be hard to the touch by now.
Step 4: Pour the baked crumbs into a food processor and also it to grind till smooth and there are no more lumps.
Step 5: Place in an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to a month. Use as desired to add beautiful finishes to your red velvet desserts and cupcakes.
